Matt Hawkins

Of southern Spanish gypsy decent, his family has a rich heritage of folk songs and styles from across Europe and Northern Africa. (Manita De Platta, ‘the Silver Hand’, one of the first famous flamenco guitarists to emerge from Spain is a direct cousin of Matt on his mother’s side)  Travelling to these places, he had a natural feel for the music styles and this extends into other related forms of music that he plays, such as the blues.
